I earned my undergraduate degree in Psychology from Montana State University Billings. I attended Campbell University in North Carolina and hold a Master of Divinity with Biblical Languages. Upon returning to Montana, I completed my Master of Science in Psychology and Master of Education in School Counseling. I earned a Doctor of Ministry with a focus on Leadership and Spiritual Formation from George Fox University in Portland, Oregon. My dissertation focused on interdisciplinary and holistic approaches to psychological and spiritual formation with an emphasis on attachment theory, as well as relational and developmentally sensitive approaches with children. I have worked as a minister to youth and children, a primary therapist in a psychiatric residential treatment facility, and a clinician for a comprehensive school and community treatment program. I joined Yellowstone Counseling Center in 2010 and treat depression, anxiety, PTSD, stress, self-harm, attachment issues, and behavioral difficulties. I have special training in attachment theory, brain and childhood development, animal assisted therapy, interpersonal neurobiology, dialectical behavioral therapy, pastoral care, and Christian counseling. I offer individual and family therapy for children and adolescents. Roosevelt and Grant are AKC registered Golden Retrievers and are utilized for animal assisted activities and animal assisted therapy (AAA/AAT).
